Tulum's famous beach zone, a narrow several-kilometre strip of jungle-backed white sand lined with boutique eco-hotels, beach clubs and open-air restaurants rather than big resort chains.

Known worldwide for its bohemian-chic design, wellness scene and lively nightlife, it runs south from the ruins along a single beach road; beach access is largely through the hotels and beach clubs.
