Paamul

A small sheltered bay north of Puerto Aventuras, Paamul is a de facto private beach fronted by a single hotel, dive shop and long-running RV park favoured by returning snowbirds.

Palm-shaded white sand meets water broken by an offshore coral reef, making it a well-known spot for easy shore snorkelling and diving; the shallows have exposed limestone and rocks, so water shoes help.

Access is via a gated highway turnoff, usually with a restaurant minimum-spend.
