A wide, curving cove of powder-soft white sand between Puerto Aventuras and Akumal, Xpu-Ha is known for its calm, shallow turquoise water and a relaxed, low-key feel.
Much of the shore is fronted by resorts and small beach clubs, with a couple of public access points reached from the highway.
