Xel-Há Caleta

A natural inlet, or caleta, where the fresh water of underground rivers meets the Caribbean, now an all-inclusive snorkelling park between Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

The mixing of fresh and salt water in the sheltered cove supports more than 90 fish species, and the calm, shallow, marked-trail swimming makes it one of the region's most family-friendly snorkelling spots, alongside a lazy river, cenotes and a scenic lighthouse.
