Xcaret Delphinus

The sheltered Caribbean cove at Xcaret, the eco-archaeological park just south of Playa del Carmen whose Maya name means “small inlet.” Built where underground rivers meet the sea on the site of an ancient Maya port, the calm reef-protected cove is used for swimming and snorkelling alongside the park's underground rivers, wildlife exhibits and evening cultural show; access is by park admission.
