Punta Cancún (Playa del Faro)

At the tip of the peninsula around Km 9, Punta Cancún marks the corner where the sheltered Bahía de Mujeres gives way to the open Caribbean.

It is also known as Playa del Faro, after the lighthouse (el faro) that stands at the point, and sits at the heart of the Hotel Zone's hotel and nightlife cluster.
