A small white-sand public beach at Km 8.5 near the northern tip of the Hotel Zone, Playa Caracol sits beside the Isla Mujeres ferry pier on calm, shallow, protected water.
Its sheltered position, clear water and gentle waves make it one of the easiest beaches in the zone for swimming and wading, and a popular launch point for catamaran and yacht tours.
