Playa Coral

At Km 25 at the far southern end of the Hotel Zone near Punta Nizuc, Playa Coral, known to locals as El Mirador II, is the only beach in Cancún that is both pet-friendly and Blue Flag certified.

Around 300 metres long, it is quiet and little-known to tourists, with palapas, free parking, lifeguards and wheelchair-access ramps.

Its open-sea waves make it better suited to relaxing, walking and sunbathing than swimming, and its position at the entrance to the zone puts it about 15 minutes from the airport.
