Holbox Centro

The main town beach of Isla Holbox, fronting the village on the island's Gulf-facing north shore.

Its warm, shallow, waist-deep water and sandbars stretch far from shore, and the sandy, car-free streets behind it are known for colourful murals, seafood and a laid-back barefoot atmosphere.

Golf carts and bikes are the only transport, and the island is a summer destination for swimming with whale sharks offshore.
