Cozumel Punta Sur

The wild southern tip of Cozumel, protected inside the 247-acre Punta Sur Eco Beach Park, with long shallow kid-friendly beaches and no development beyond a small visitor centre.

Its landmark is the 1934 Celarain lighthouse (133 steps to a panoramic view and a small nautical museum); the park also holds the Colombia crocodile lagoon, mangroves, snorkelling reefs and a small Maya ruin.
