Playa Chankanaab

A national marine park beach on Cozumel's sheltered leeward coast at Km 9, Chankanaab, Maya for 'small sea', is built around a spring-fed lagoon and a reef that starts just off the sand.

It is one of the island's most accessible shore-snorkelling and beginner-diving spots, with calm shallow water, submerged statues, a botanical garden and a sea-lion area, popular with cruise visitors and families.
