A quiet, spacious beach at Km 7.5 whose name means “wide” in Spanish, Playa Ancha fronts the Presidente InterContinental near the corner where the sheltered bay meets the open sea.
Its powder-soft sand, calm surf and lack of crowds give it a relaxed, uncrowded feel, though access is limited: it is reached on foot from Playa Tortugas or through the beachfront hotels.
