Ambergris Caye (San Pedro)

Belize's largest island and top destination, Ambergris Caye sits just inside the Belize Barrier Reef, the largest reef in the Western Hemisphere.

Its main town, San Pedro, is a laid-back hub of sandy streets and golf carts; the shoreline is more seawall and dock than wide sand, with the appeal centred on world-class diving and snorkelling, including the nearby Hol Chan reserve and Blue Hole.
