Varadero

A 20-kilometre sandbar peninsula east of Havana, Varadero is Cuba's largest and most famous resort beach, an unbroken ribbon of white sand and clear turquoise water lined with dozens of all-inclusive hotels.

It is the country's main beach-tourism hub, with calm shallow water and a long history as a seaside retreat.
