Playa Sos\u00faa

A sheltered horseshoe cove on the north coast, Playa Sosúa has calm, clear water protected by headlands and a reef, making it one of the region's best snorkelling and family-swimming beaches.

A row of vendor stalls and eateries lines the sand behind it, and the town was notably settled by Jewish refugees in the late 1930s.
