A small, quiet Panhandle town on the Forgotten Coast, Mexico Beach is known for its uncommercial, old-Florida atmosphere and clear Gulf water.

Largely destroyed by Hurricane Michael in 2018, it has been rebuilding, and remains a low-key, family-oriented alternative to the busier Panhandle resort towns.
