The largest cay of the Banco Chinchorro atoll, Cayo Centro is a mangrove island ringed by shallow turquoise lagoon and dotted with fishermen's wooden stilt houses.
It serves as the main base for the atoll's lobster fishers and for the few permitted visitors exploring this remote marine reserve.
